Last night marked a truly special moment for Kildangan GAA as our outgoing PRO, Rory McGrath, was elected Kildare GAA Communications Officer at the County Convention on a decisive 99–44 vote.
At just 22 years of age, Rory has already shown an exceptional commitment to promoting our club,
For someone so young to earn the trust and confidence of delegates right across the county says everything about his talent, his work ethic, and the respect he has built in such a short time.

But this is more than a personal achievement — it’s a milestone for the entire club. For the first time ever, Kildangan now has a representative on the Kildare County Executive, and we could not be prouder. It reflects how far our club has come, how strongly it continues to grow, and how deeply our members are now contributing to GAA life at every level.
Rory has been a great PRO for Kildangan over the past two years - always willing to go the extra mile to showcase our teams and our community. While we will miss him in the role, we are incredibly excited to see him bring those same qualities to the county stage.
We wish Rory every success as he steps into this new chapter. He carries the best of Kildangan with him, and we know he will do both the club and the county proud.
Well done, Rory — a fantastic achievement, and only the beginning of what’s ahead.
